Beechwood Elementary School offers many programs and services designed to meet the varied needs of our students. The library/media center is well equipped with research and resource materials, including a varied selection of books, periodicals, videotapes, and computer programs.

Several factors contribute to helping pupils excel in their endeavors, such as the use of process writing, daily journal writing, a "hands-on" approach in mathematics and science, integrative and thematic approaches to learning, and a dedicated teaching staff. The kindergarten program is based on a multi-sensory readiness approach to learning and in first and second grades the program emphasizes meaningful, "real-life" learning.

The Parent-Teacher Association plays a key role in many aspects of the school environment. Its volunteer program provides assistance to all staff members throughout the school year. The partnership between our parents and staff ensures that our students have an enjoyable and meaningful experience at Beechwood Elementary School.
