About the PTA

The Mountainside PTA is a national nonprofit organization run by volunteers like you. We are accountable to parents and to school officials, and we make every attempt to provide children with opportunities for success. The Mountainside PTA serves as a forum for parents, teachers, administrators, and other community members to discuss ways to promote quality education by expanding the arts, encouraging community involvement, and collaborating to maintain a healthy environment and safe neighborhood.

We urge every parent and staff member to join the PTA and to volunteer their time. Your involvement will allow us to achieve these identified goals: fostering a cooperative working relationship between home and school and supporting culturally responsive enrichment programs for students.

The Mountainside PTA supplements the educational program through funding of assemblies and purchasing of materials in an effort to nurture our students’ academic and social-emotional growth.

We are always looking for volunteers throughout the school year. Look through the list of committees and find something you may enjoy. Please complete our volunteer sign-up sheet. Volunteering is an excellent way to get more involved in your school and to help our students.
