Dear 2nd Grade Families,
Every Monday a poem will be sent home with your child. Please have your child read the poem aloud 3 times a week, each a different night. Provide a signature each night your child reads the poem. The poem is due back to school every Friday.
In school, the poem will be used as part of our daily Shared Reading. Through Shared Reading, your child will be exposed to different language patterns, word-recognition skills, and will have an opportunity to improve their reading fluency through the repetitious practice.
