    Emergency Closing Information

Our Honeywell message system will be utilized for all school emergency closings/delayed openings and any other important messages to parents and school staff. Parents/Guardians may update their information at anytime through Honeywell https://instantalert.honeywell.com. Emergency information will also be available through the resources listed below:

www.7online.com (It is also “crawled” live on the morning show and, as needed, at noontime and in the evening broadcasts.)

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/school-closings/ (Announced on 1010 WINS and will appear on the CBS2 (WCBS-TV) bottom-of screen.

Delayed Openings: In the event there is a delayed opening, buses will pick up students 2 hours later than normal. For example, if your child is normally picked up at 7:45 a.m., during a delayed opening pick-up time would be 9:45 a.m.

Emergency Early Dismissal: You will be contacted via the Honeywell message system by the phone numbers/email addresses you have input. The above radio, TV stations, and websites will also be contacted with our closure information. Please be sure that your child knows what to do and where to go in the event of an early closing.

YMCA Before and After Care Program: The YMCA Before and After Care Program will not be held during school closings. On delayed openings, only the after care session will be held. On emergency early dismissal days, the after care program is cancelled. Parents must inform their children where to go in the event of an early closing. Parents also need to inform the school office where their child should go in the event of an emergency early dismissal (i.e. neighbor, take the bus home, parent will pick up, etc.)
